Since Tuesday nights Game 6 win, any discussion surrounding the Lakers in Game 7 tends to revert back to what this game means for Kobe Bryant’s legacy. Although Bryant has already cemented himself as one of the greatest to ever play the game, Game 7 may shape forever how people in the future remember him.
As mentioned in many articles before, Game 7 will affect the legacies and futures of all involved, including Phil Jackson, Doc Rivers, Ron Artest and the Big Three. However none will be scrutinized or praised more depending on the outcome of this game than Kobe.

Three games into the NBA Finals and we know a couple things for sure:
– Derek Fisher is still a stone-cold killer when it matters most
– Home-court advantage means absolutely nothing in this series
– Despite his poor offense, Ron Artest is a huge upgrade over Trevor Ariza
The time has finally come to end the debate over who the Lakers would have been better off with starting at small forward. The fact of the matter is despite a drop-off in offensive production, the Lakers are a much better team overall this season than they were during their title run last year.

After the Celtics beat the Lakers 103-94 in Game 2 to tie the NBA Finals at a game apiece, the reaction has been shockingly expected. Laker haters everywhere will spend the entire 48 hours in between Game 2 and Game 3 to let everyone know that the Lakers are finished, the Celtics are better, the Lakers are trash, it’s not coming back to LA, blah blah blah.
Laker fans are having the same reactions for the most part. The sky is falling down! Kobe is hurting again! The curse of Boston is rearing its ugly head at us again! Blah blah blah.

July 1, 2010. Depending on who you ask, it is either the beginning of something beautiful or the end of a franchise as we know it. It’s a day that teams have spent two years fantasizing about, two years creating cap-space for, and two years telling their fans that it would be the day they turned their franchise around.
With all the big-name free agents already being eliminated from the playoffs, it’s not too early to look ahead to the possibilities of this summer.
